Project Description

In the ancient city of Torun in northern Poland a new calbe-stayed bridge spanning 530m over the Vistula River is being built. Between May and August 2013 VSL Heavy Lifting moved 16 deck segments, each weighing 250t, from a pontoon onto the temporary hanger cables. Depending on the water level the lifting distance was about 15m. In a second operation the deck segments were precisely aligned and permanent fixed to the hanger cables.
